In clinical setting, if client’s complaint is still exist, it
indicates that there is less caring that nurses show eventhough caring is core
of nursing. Objective of this research
was to investigate the correlation between
character and knowledge of nurse with caring behaviour in Rumah Sakit Daerah
Raden Mattaher Jambi. Using Cross Sectional design with 192 respondents, base of criteria there were 71 samples.
The result showed 29,6 % of
respondents are junior nurses, 87,3
% with higher education, 16,9 %
are new nurses, 8,5 % with less knowledge about caring and 47,9 % nurses show
less caring. Moreover, there are correlation between character and knowledge of nurse with caring
behavior.
It is recommended to the nursing manager and comite of Rumah Sakit
Daerah Raden Mattaher Jambi to enhance nurse of caring behavior toward supervising and evaluating the caring
behaviour continously.
